Senior/Head Dental Nurse

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Senior/Head Dental Nurse to lead our dental nursing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and dental nursing, demonstrating excellent communication and organizational skills. As a senior member of the team, you will oversee daily clinical operations, support dental practitioners, and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care within a professional and welcoming environment. **Duties**

– Provide comprehensive patient care, including assisting dentists during procedures and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatments.
– Supervise and mentor junior dental nurses, promoting best practices in clinical procedures and infection control.
– Manage appointment scheduling efficiently using IT systems to optimize patient flow and clinic productivity.
– Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with data protection regulations and practice policies.
– Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including sterilization protocols and hygiene practices.
– Support the implementation of new clinical protocols and assist in training staff on updated procedures.
– Communicate effectively with patients, explaining treatment plans clearly and addressing any concerns professionally.
– Organize supplies and equipment to ensure the clinic operates smoothly without interruptions.

**Experience**

– Proven experience as a Dental Nurse with a minimum of several years working in a clinical setting.
– Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience, ideally in a senior or head role within dental practice environments.
– Strong knowledge of patient care procedures, infection control standards, and dental software IT systems.
– Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse patient groups and team members.
– Well-developed organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
– Relevant nursing qualifications recognized by appropriate regulatory bodies; additional certifications in sedation or implant nursing are advantageous but not mandatory.
– Experience working with digital imaging tools or advanced dental technology is considered a plus.
