Paediatric Complex Care Nurse – Rendlesham

Cura Vita Complex Care Group is looking for compassionate and clinically confident **Registered Nurses** to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing support to a young person with significant and complex healthcare needs in their own home.

This is a highly person-centred community nursing role requiring someone who can combine strong clinical skills with sensitivity, compassion and the confidence to provide safe nursing care independently within a home environment.

We’re particularly interested in nurses with experience in **paediatric complex care, community nursing, respiratory care or palliative care**.

About the Role

You’ll provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care, working closely with the young person, their family and the wider clinical team.

The young person has significant and changing healthcare needs requiring close observation, responsive clinical support and a calm, reassuring approach.

Depending on your experience, training and assessed competencies, your responsibilities may include:

– Providing 1:1 nursing care within the home
– Respiratory assessment and monitoring
– Oxygen therapy
– Suction and secretion management
– Enteral feeding
– Medication administration via enteral routes
– Supporting complex medication regimes
– Monitoring skin integrity
– Moving, repositioning and transfer support
– Recognising deterioration and responding appropriately
– Managing clinical risk and escalating concerns
– Supporting comfort, dignity and symptom management
– Working alongside specialist healthcare professionals
– Providing sensitive support to the young person and their family
– Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and records

Current Hours

We’re currently recruiting nurses to support a combination of **day and night shifts**.

**Day shifts**

– 09:00–14:00
– Five shifts per week

**Night shifts**

– 21:00–07:00
– Three shifts per week

You don’t necessarily need to cover both days and nights. We’re interested in hearing from nurses who can provide **days, nights or a combination of both**.

Hours may evolve in response to the young person’s ongoing needs.

About You

You must be a **Registered Nurse with current UK NMC registration**.

We’re particularly interested in nurses with professional experience in some of the following:

– Paediatric nursing
– Community complex care
– Palliative care
– Respiratory care
– Oxygen therapy
– Suction and secretion management
– Enteral/NG feeding
– Complex medication management
– Recognising and responding to clinical deterioration
– Supporting people with significant communication needs
– Providing nursing care within a person’s own home

You don’t need experience in every clinical area. However, you’ll need to be clinically confident, able to work within your professional scope and willing to complete any required package-specific training and competency assessment.

Alongside your clinical skills, we’re looking for someone who is **calm, compassionate, reliable and sensitive to the needs of the young person and their family**.

Training & Clinical Support

You’ll receive appropriate induction, package-specific training and competency assessment relevant to the care you’re providing.

You’ll work within agreed clinical care plans and protocols, with appropriate clinical escalation and support arrangements in place.
