**Job Title:** Staff Nurse (Cath Lab Day Unit)

**Contract Type:** Permanent

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a highly motivated, experienced Nurse to join the cardiac catheter lab day unit. The Cath Lab Day Unit is open from 07:15 to 21:00, Monday to Friday, and supports a wide range of cardiovascular and thoracic day case admissions, through recovery and nurse led discharge.

This is a part-time position. The successful candidate will be expected to work a range of shifts to meet the needs of the service.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include;

You will work as part of a MDT and will be responsible for promoting high standards of nursing care which requires good communication to assist with the elective patient journey through the catheter labs and theatres. You will be caring for a range of patients undergoing a wide variety of procedures from admission, pre and post procedure care, GA recovery, and nurse led discharge. This will include cardiology, vascular, IR and thoracic patients and full training will be given in these specialities.

The cardiac catheter lab and day unit is committed to education, and you will have the opportunity to attend the in-house Introduction to Cardiovascular Nursing course in addition to the opportunity to attend national conferences relating to Cardiology.
