We are a **well-established specialist private dental practice with five fully equipped surgeries**, providing a high standard of specialist and multidisciplinary dental care.

We are looking for an **exceptional Senior Dental Nurse to join our team as Nurse Lead**.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced dental nurse who is ready to take on greater responsibility, lead and support a nursing team, and play an important role in maintaining and developing the clinical standards of the practice.

The Role

As **Nurse Lead**, you will work closely with the practice management and clinical team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the nursing department.

Your responsibilities will include:

– Providing day-to-day leadership and support to the dental nursing team
– Coordinating nursing cover across our **five surgeries**
– Supporting clinicians to ensure surgeries are prepared and efficiently managed
– Maintaining consistently high standards of **infection prevention and control**
– Ensuring clinical equipment, instruments and surgeries are appropriately maintained and prepared
– Supporting compliance with **CQC, GDC, HTM and practice policies**
– Monitoring clinical standards and assisting with audits and quality improvement
– Supporting the induction, training and development of dental nurses
– Helping to manage nursing rotas, holidays and sickness cover
– Acting as a point of contact for nursing staff and helping resolve day-to-day issues
– Working alongside dentists, specialists, therapists and practice management
– Ensuring excellent communication between the clinical and administrative teams
– Helping develop and implement improved systems and protocols within the practice
– Maintaining a consistently high standard of patient care and professionalism
– Nursing chairside as required, including supporting specialist procedures
– Occasional receptionist role when required

About You

We are looking for an experienced dental nurse who has the confidence and maturity to take on a **leadership position**.

You should ideally have:

– **GDC registration** as a Dental Care Professional
– Previous experience as a **Senior Dental Nurse, Lead Dental Nurse or Nurse Manager**
– Strong clinical dental nursing experience
– Excellent knowledge of cross-infection and clinical governance
– Excellent organisational and communication skills
– The ability to lead, motivate and support other members of the nursing team
– A professional, calm and approachable manner
– Strong attention to detail
– The ability to work independently and use initiative
– A genuine commitment to maintaining high clinical standards
– A positive attitude towards teamwork and continuous improvement
– Experience within a **specialist, private or multidisciplinary dental environment** would be particularly advantageous.

Pay: £18.00-£23.00 per hour
