Salaried GP – Maternity Cover, Fixed Term Contract

Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and committed **Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team for 4 sessions per week on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover.**

Situated in a picturesque semi-rural area of East Sussex, Ashdown Medical Group is a well-established GMS, dispensing and training practice, with surgeries in Forest Row and Mayfield.

We are a forward-thinking practice with a supportive partnership of five GP Partners and a dedicated multidisciplinary team. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while fostering a positive, collaborative and welcoming working environment.

Responsibilities:

– Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories of patients
– Diagnose and treat various acute and chronic illnesses
– Develop personalised treatment plans for patients based on their medical conditions
– Provide guidance on preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices
– Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
– Utilise electronic health records (EHR) systems for accurate documentation – SystmOne
– Stay updated on the latest medical research and advancements in healthcare practices

Skills:
– Exceptional patient care skills with a focus on empathy and communication
– Experience in clinical research methodologies and data analysis
– Competence in medication administration and dosage management
– Familiarity with medical imaging techniques for diagnostic purposes
– Knowledge of home care protocols for patients requiring ongoing treatment at home
– Understanding of senior care needs and geriatric medicine principles
– Strong anatomy knowledge to accurately assess and diagnose medical conditions
– Ability to provide medical services in nursing home settings
